Hi again everybody! This time I'll be talking about "Marked". When I first bought this book there really wasn't anyway I could've known what the book was about just by looking at it's cover. Well, without spoilers, I will tell you what the book was about. It was about a girl named Zoey Redbird and how she was summoned to join the house of Night. The only catch is you have to give up your previous life and friends, move out of your house, and come to learn how to become a "vamprye" fledgling. Oh yeah, you get a cresant moon on your forehead as well. The series starts out kind of slow, but very funny at times. I've heard many complaints about the writing style and how it veers off the storyline to much. I personally liked that writing because it makes me feel like she really wants to connect with her audience and try to make us have a laugh at serious points in the book. That's not saying, however, that it wasn't annoying at times. The character Zoey Redbird herself, was...interesting to say the least. She was very comical at certain times, but like I said, she could also be annoying. That doesn't make this book a bad read at all though. For the most part I would recommend this book to anyone who wants an amazing plot, but can deal with it being interrupted for random things at times. I myself, would give this book 3.5 stars out of 5. It was an enjoyable read for the most part and is the start of a very good series. Go buy it! lol
